macrophotography: a longer glance

Blending death doula work with macrophotography feels deeply natural and spiritual for me. Both are about presence and honoring of what is often unseen. Both are about witnessing--one the threshold of life's great mystery and the other, the sacred details of what we skip over.
Both require a slowing down, of intensely listening, and of attending. Holding space for a dying person necessitates reverence for life and so does capturing intricacies through the lens. Whether at the bedside or in nature, the work invites me to pause and witness the solemn crossroads.
I hope you'll take time to breathe in what you see and consider inspiring yourself and others.
